1. Talk it over with your family FIRST.
  2. Make sure you have your family’s approval. Show them the photos and videos of the puppy. When you have their FULL consent move to next steps.
  3. Contact the breeder. Ask questions about the puppy and its parents. Ask lots of questions and ask to see the parents DNA test results, OFA results, pedigrees and other information that you and your family want to know about the puppy and it’s parents.
  4. Ask to see contract before you put any money on the puppy to make sure the breeder is the right breeder for you.
  5. I will send you a copy of my contract for you and your family to review and if you AND your family agree with my contract, contact me again and it’s time to put a non refundable holding deposit on the puppy!
  6. Make arrangements with your family and breeder how you will get your puppy. I have a flight nanny available and he’s the only FN I will allow to deliver my puppies or you may pick up the puppy yourself or we can meet. We do charge a delivery fee.
  7. It’s time to get your puppy after all arrangements have been made.
  8. Don’t take too long to process through any of these steps because if you do and you haven’t placed a holding deposit someone else might come along who has already made up their mind that the same puppy is the perfect puppy for them and adopt it before you do. It happens all the time and we as breeders do not have to hold it while you make up your mind and we don’t have to tell you someone else is interested in it too
  9. DO NOT let a breeder talk you into placing a deposit on their puppy until you have reviewed their contract and have answered your questions to the point that you are comfortable with everything.
